The Digital Health Foundation Course (DHFC – Diabetes) is a foundational e-learning programme designed to increase awareness and accelerate the adoption of digital technologies in diabetes care. Developed under the RSSDI–KCDD partnership, the programme aims to equip diabetologists and healthcare providers with the skills to integrate digital health tools into their practice for better patient outcomes and smoother clinic management.
The curriculum includes five core modules. It begins with an Introduction to Digital Health in Diabetes Care, followed by two modules on Clinic Management Systems one focusing on improving patient outcomes and another on strengthening practice management. The fourth module explores Digital Tools for Diabetes Management Outside the Clinic, and the programme concludes with a Starter Kit for Digital Health Adoption.
The course will be created specifically for healthcare professionals across RSSDI’s network of clinics and hospitals. Delivered entirely online in a self-paced format, it will take approximately three to four hours to complete, ending with a short post-test. All content will be hosted on the RSSDI Learning Management System (LMS) and also be made available through ecosystem partners - ensuring easy access for participants nationwide.
Digital health tools such as Clinic Management Systems, telemedicine, and patient apps are transforming diabetes care. This course provides healthcare professionals with a structured, time-efficient pathway to adopt these tools, enhance practice efficiency, and ultimately deliver more effective, patient-centred diabetes management.
