RSSDI-Koita Centre for Digital Diabetology (RSSDI-KCDD) participated in IDF DRS 2026 - Diabetes Research & Solutions Congress, held in Mumbai from 4-6 September 2026.
As part of the technology sessions, RSSDI-KCDD delivered a session on “Digital Tools in Diabetes,” highlighting the role of digital technologies and AI in supporting clinicians across the diabetes care journey.

On 15 August 2026, India’s 80th Independence Day, RSSDI launched the RSSDI Rural Outreach Program (RROP) digital platform for diabetes screening and the RSSDI VISHWAS Videos for patient education in underserved rural communities.
The initiatives were launched by Chief Guest Dr (Shri) Jitendra Singh Ji, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, and Minister of State for Atomic Energy.

RSSDI-Koita Centre for Digital Diabetology (RSSDI-KCDD) participated in the RSSDI Tamil Nadu State Chapter Conference held on 8–9 August 2026, engaging with diabetologists and healthcare professionals on digital transformation in diabetes care.
RSSDI-KCDD conducted a session on “Three Moments for Better Diabetes,” highlighting the importance of timely support that digital tools can provide in a diabetes clinician and patient journey.
The exhibition booth enabled one-to-one interactions with delegates, creating awareness and generating interest in RSSDI-KCDD’s digital health initiatives like RSSDI empanelled Clinic Management Systems (CMS), VISHWAS, T1DMitra, and the RSSDI Digital Technology Webinar Series.

RSSDI-KCDD participated in DTech 2026, one of India's leading conferences on digital diabetes care and AI in healthcare. At the RSSDI-KCDD booth, we shared key initiatives including the RSSDI CMS Empanelment Initiative, a mobile app for parents with children having T1DM, and GenAI patient education videos for self-management of diabetes, etc. Three RSSDI-empanelled CMS vendors-EkaCare, HealthPlix, and OneGlance-also showcased their diabetes-focused digital solutions. The event provided an excellent platform to engage with the digital health community in diabetology and reinforce RSSDI's commitment to accelerating digital adoption in diabetes care across India.

At the RSSDI Research Retreat 2026 in Guwahati, RSSDI-KCDD facilitated a session on "Digital Personal Data Protection Rules (DPDPR): Practical Steps for Compliance in Diabetes Clinics." Led by cybersecurity expert Ms. Krishna Veni Pandelapalli (PwC), the session provided practical guidance on data privacy, patient rights, and compliance for diabetes practices. RSSDI-KCDD also showcased its key digital health initiatives at its booth.

A pioneering Standard for Diabetes Care and Management was launched by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) at the NABH Patient Safety Conference 2025. The 4th RSSDI Research Retreat 2025 held in Madurai brought together emerging and established researchers from across the country to discuss innovative approaches in diabetes research. The retreat provided a dynamic platform for scientific exchange, mentorship, and collaboration aimed at strengthening the research ecosystem in diabetes health.

With responses from 350+ members, the technology survey highlighted a low adoption of digital tools. Findings indicated that less than 40% of members use Clinic Management Systems and less than 10% use telemedicine. On the positive side, the survey also revealed a strong interest in adopting digital solutions among the diabetologists. Members expressed interest in areas like CGM integration, selection of patient apps, and clinic decision support systems.

The 52nd Annual RSSDI Conference (Nov 14–17, New Delhi) focused on advancing diabetes care through research, clinical standards, and digital innovation. A landmark MoU between RSSDI and NABH was signed to enhance quality and consistency in diabetes care. The Koita Centre for Digital Diabetology (KCDD)-RSSDI showcased the initiatives, presented insights from the RSSDI Tech Survey 2024, and led sessions on accreditation, digital tools, and data integration.
